Four West Nipissing athletes have come home from the Special Olympics Provincial Winter Games with some impressive hardware, along with memories and some new friends.

Henry Curtis, Mathieu St-Georges, Xavier Seguin and Jason Coleman all participated in their first Winter Provincial Games, which took place in Sault Ste-Marie February 1-3. The athletes competed in the snowshoe races, 100m, 200m and relay, bringing home several medals.

Henry Curtis won a gold in relay; Mathieu St-Georges won gold in the 100m; Xavier Seguin took home two silvers in 100m and 200m; and Jason Coleman earned 2 silvers in 100m and 200m, and a bronze in relay.
