Author Anne Gingras signs book copies for Sylvie Belanger and Lise Duhaime.
Anne Gingras had two reasons to celebrate on May 29th. It was her 48th birthday and the official book launch and signing for “The Old Man on the Bench”, her inspirational work of stories with a meaning. The launch took place in the evening at Twiggs Coffee Roasters in Sturgeon Falls, and saw a steady stream of fans from West Nipissing, North Bay and Powassan.
The owners of Twiggs told her they had never been so busy for a hosted event. “The place was packed,” confirmed Kim Royer at the end of the evening.
Although Gingras sold many books on site, many brought their already-purchased book for signing and for a chance to chat with the author. She spent a good two hours writing personal messages to her readers.
It was a testament to her popularity as an inspirational writer, and encouraged her in further endeavours. In fact, Anne Gingras is already working on a follow-up book and is designing inspirational cards along with her chosen jacket designer, Léo Levac, a well-known artist from West Nipissing, who was also on hand for the evening.
