The West Nipissing Lynx were unable to put a notch in the win column last weekend, as they lost to both the Bradford Rattlers (1-9) at home, and the Ville-Marie Pirates (7-8) on the road.

On Friday, the Lynx hosted the Rattlers and got into penalty trouble within minutes. That would be the theme of Friday’s game, as penalties plagued them all night. With over 30 minutes spent in the box, the home team only managed one goal, while allowing 9.

“I have no idea what was going through their minds,” deplored assistant coach Mathieu Gaudette. “We practiced hard all week and we knew we were going to be facing a tough team on Friday. On Saturday, the Lynx traveled to Ville-Marie with only three lines, due to a couple of suspensions and injuries from Friday’s game. Despite having a short bench, the team was able to net 7 goals, but were unable to stop the powerhouse Pirates from scoring 8.
